Raw & Infused Honey

You can but its not necessary. Store raw honey in a cool, dry, dark place in your pantry such as a cabinet. Keep it away from direct sunlight as heat can destroy nutrients. Honey stores best between 60 to 80 degrees Farenheit. Use a clean, dry spoon or dipper to serve the honey and close lid properly after each use. Raw honey lasts hundreds of years when properly stored!

It’s normal for raw honey to crystallize. You can fix it by placing the jar of honey in a pot of warm water, and stirring the honey on low to medium heat until the crystals dissolve.

Most of the time we do as we are able to harvest even a little honey during the warm winter months in Hawaii. But we don't always have honeycomb available.

Unopened infused honeys can be stored up to 3 months. Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Once the jar is opened, consume within 10 days to enjoy flavors at their peak. Some flavors can become less intense with time. Remember to stir infused honeys and to use a clean, dry spoon or honey dipper. Close jar properly to store.

Macdamia Nut Butters

You can store your jar of macadamia nut honey butter in a cool, dry place in your pantry. Make sure the lid is on tight and keep out of direct sunlight. When stored in the pantry, finish it within a week to 10 days. (This is never a problem in our house!) If you need to keep it longer, refrigerate it. Bring to room temperature before eating it. You can also warm it on low heat in the microwave for 10 seconds to soften and make it spreadable.

Festive Walnut Honey is best refrigerated. It’ll be good up to a month in the refrigerator. Bring to room temperature before enjoying.

Its best to enjoy your Macnut Honey Butters and Festive Walnut Honey when they are fresh. Don’t let them get lost in a cabinet or in your fridge as honey butters do dry out over time10

Not really. Most of us grew up eating peanut butter, so we may think that all nut butters have the same consistency/texture. Since various nuts have different amounts of oil, the texture varies. Our macadamia nut honey butter is more like a paste. Because we limit our ingredients to just macadamia nuts and raw honey, the texture is nutty and just the right amount of sweet. It is delicious and nutritious.

If you want to make it more spreadable, microwave on low heat for 10 to 15 seconds. Don’t use high heat as it could destroy the powerful nutrients in raw honey.

Macadamia nuts are the most expensive nuts and we only use top quality, local ingredients if available on island. We don’t dilute our Hawaiian Macadamia Nut Honey Butters with other less expensive nuts such as peanuts as many other companies do to keep costs down. We also use only the best raw Hawaiian honey. We get our macadamia nuts from the Big Island; the vanilla beans are grown on a small family farm on Oahu and we use 100% Kona Coffee beans from the Big Island of Hawaii. After turmeric, vanilla is the second most expensive spice in the world. We keep our ingredients pure, raw, clean and as local as possible.
