We are long-time Kailua residents and we love our town! We started Kailua Honey to help the bees.
We have a couple of hives in our backyard. We are newBEES, still learning all about our magnificent bees. Here are some pictures of our first harvest.
If you would like to be notified when we have a harvest, please join our mailing list to the right. We have a very limited quantity of honey available after each harvest. Note that we don’t add or do anything to our raw honey so its truly hive to table.
We started making Macadamia Nut Honey Butters during the pandemic as gifts for friends. They liked them so much that they encouraged us to sell them at farmers markets. As a very small family business, we understand the importance of supporting our local farms and small family businesses so we made a commitment to source all our ingredients for our Macnut Honey Butters locally if they are available in Hawaii. Presently, the only ingredient that is not locally available that goes into our macadamia nut honey butters is pure, organic Matcha. You can sample our honey butters at the Lokahi Kailua Market Sunday mornings or the Waikiki Beachwalk Market on Wednesday evenings. We are not at the markets every week, so please check our Instagram for the schedule.
During winter, when our bees are not producing enough honey for us to harvest and sell, we make small batch, macadamia nut honey butters with Hawaiian macadamia nuts and raw Hawaiian honey. We also offer made to order walnut and pecan honey butter.
Be warned, they’re onolicious (delicious) and addicting! We hope you will try them.
